Our philosophy is “No Handouts” provide “Hand Ups”. This initiative's Mission is to provide work opportunities for 10 disadvantaged Locals this year. We look to help transition them up in life through employment. This group suffers the result of systemic changes starting after the 80’s when social programs for trades and apprenticeships  that were a part of every Public High Schools curriculum were ended. Programs that taught trades like Auto Mechanics, Carpentry, Electrician and many more were farmed out  to  Paid Technical College’s

Combine that with the boom in infrastructure growth, and a need for workers leads many companies to take the quick fix of illegal workers, instead of apprenticeship or training programs. So, as a result we have in our communities two to three generations of youth and young adults with no vision, and  such limited opportunities they resort to bad decisions, crime, and many become burdens on the welfare system. Which in turn creates more generations of the same.

We also work to empower those that have fallen on hard times that led them to homeless. These people suffer things like being displaced by cheap illegal workers, domestic abuse, former drug addiction, single parent homes, no parental guidance, non - violent offender records that make it difficult for them to get to some form of stability in life. In these specific groups we help those that are truly looking to improve their situation.

This is how we look to do our small part to not complain but to combat this social epidemic, by providing opportunities that not only pay a wage while learning or re-learning the skills & responsibilities of working, but for some learning entrepreneurship to be their own bosses some day. This initiative looks to  empower those that may not have opportunities, see a way to improve their situation, or simply to provide a starting point to stability. We run background checks, and while we can't  hire anyone with Theft or Assault charges we do help those with other non- violent offenses turn their lives around and put their feet on solid ground.

Our requirements for them are just that, Requirements! Because we look to instill in each person a sense of personal responsibility and pride in their work. In our training, punctuality is a necessity and excellence in work is our Goal.
